The
Department of Theatre Arts at the University
of North Dakota is recognized as a leading
program of theatre arts
for the state, and indeed for most of the
region. 
The
Department achieved National Accreditation
in 1986, an honor it continues to hold.
The diversified and highly qualified faculty
includes experts skilled in acting, directing,
design, playwriting, history and literature.
UND
offers exciting opportunities in theatre
for majors and non-majors with its extensive
theatre and dance curriculum, essential
studies courses, and production experience.
Our
nationally recognized Master of Arts program
graduates are working in New York, Chicago,
and Minneapolis. Majors may select a focus
in Acting, Directing, Design, or Music Theatre.
The
new Dance curriculum is open to all students
with classes in Tap, Ballet, Jazz, and Modern
Dance. Dance Minors take advanced technique
classes and choreography.
All
students are encouraged to participate in
our season productions as well as our student
directed one-acts.
